La Estrella is one of the most prestigious hotels in the Caribbean region.
It boasts 1,308 rooms as well as restaurants, swimming pools, in addition to sports and recreational centers. The hotel consumes 120,000 liters of water.

A comprehensive analysis of requirements was performed in order to measure high consumption areas. Based on the study’s findings, a renewable energy plant was commissioned. This included a solar-thermal field of 670 collectors, with a net aperture area of 1,700 m².

The system was installed in a way that does not detract from the aesthetics of this beautiful large hotel.
